This gameplay programming role is hybrid, working full-time hours from both the Oxford office and from home and earning a compelling salary and benefits.

The unannounced project you will be working on is a thematically dark Sci-fi shooter title. You'll join a small, passionate, and experienced team with a proven record of delivering quality experiences.

If you were already working here as Gameplay Programmer, these are some tasks you could expect to take on:

  • Working to build general gameplay systems
  • Metagame/analytics and game flow
  • Working with game designers, UI artists and animators to implement game mechanics
  • Collaborating with members of the programming team on systems and features that have the potential to influence future titles

Excellent C/C++ programming skills and sound knowledge of object-oriented development are essential to the success of this Gameplay Programmer position. You must also have:

  • Professional experience working on at least one published console/PC game
  • Previous work related to gameplay and general game flow
  • Experience with AI systems would be beneficial
  • Keen interest in sci-fi, shooter games and/or cooperative experiences

If you’re looking to make a positive impact and create change, possessing an inclusive and committed approach, you will be rewarded with an excellent salary and benefits package.
