Environment Artist

Our client is looking for an experienced Environment Artist to join them at their studio in Brighton, UK to work on our debut multiplatform, multiplayer title. The Environment Artist role can be worked fully remotely across the UK and comes with a generous salary and benefits package. 

As an Environment Artist, you will work closely with the Art and Design team bringing your passion and experience to create great-looking Environment Art. You will also work with Art Director to ensure the environments and props fit into the overall art direction of the project.  

To give you an idea of how this Environment Artist role will look and feel, these are some things you can expect to do: 

• Communicate and work well with the whole team 
• Take ownership of larger art tasks and see them through to completion 
• Be a proactive and positive contributor to the project and support your team 

To apply for this Environment Artist role, you will need a portfolio demonstrating proven ability at creating high-quality art assets using multiple 3d and 2d packages (Autodesk Maya, ZBrush and Substance Painter / Designer). You will also require the following: 

• A good understanding of architectural layout and scene composition 
• Good working knowledge of physically based shaders and proficiency in next-gen asset creation 
• Minimum 2-3 years in the games industry working in an environment art capacity 
• The ability to communicate and collaborate with Art, Design and Code 
• Passion for improving skills and developing new pipelines
