As an Environment Artist you will have the opportunity to work hyrbid and locally in a Massachusetts studio. You will have the chance to be responsible for a wide range of tasks which focus on bringing racetracks to life. If you have a strong foundation in realistic environments and a broad level of experience with both modelling and texturing, you could help us build the worlds number one eSport racing simulation!

This studio is the industry leaders in simulated racing games, with competitions and thousands of members signed up, it’s safe to say the studio is thriving and enjoying their well-earned success. If you like the sound of working for a well-established company with a hugely talented team, you’ll be a great fit for this role.

Requirements

  • Ability to create photorealistic assets that are not stylized and to quickly pick up concepts whilst remaining comfortable with the technical challenges
  • Experience in professional game art development and creating natural materials such as grasses and other earthen materials such as foliage
  • History using high-res sculpting for normal maps and with capturing reference photography with SpeedTree
  • Able to work well in 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, and Substance Painter and transition from modelling to texturing to production as required

Responsibilities

  • Creating a simulation of the real world, sourcing from photographs and laser scan data for the assets you’re creating
  • Seeing the assets through to completion including the 3D modelling, UV mapping, and texturing
  • Using the rendering engine to create photo-realistic texture materials including albedo and metallic/roughness
  • Bringing racetracks to life!
