Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

Skillsearch is helping a collaborative company recruit an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect. The contract role lasts from 17 April 2023 to 31 July 2023 with the possibility of extension and comes with an attractive rate. 

As a skilled and dedicated Enterprise Infrastructure Architect, you will analyse the current infrastructure landscape and define the new future architecture and the roadmap to achieve the desired infrastructure state. The current state consists of enabling services and applications for internal and external users. This user group is expected to become more segmented and varied in the coming years. 

In your first few weeks in this Enterprise Infrastructure Architect role, you can expect to: 

• Analyse the current infrastructure landscape and identify gaps, weaknesses and areas for improvement 
• Assess the technical requirements and identify the infrastructure needed to support the business goals 
• Conduct a risk assessment and develop a risk management plan to mitigate the potential risks 
• Develop a cloud migration strategy that outlines the steps required to move some part of the organisation’s infrastructure to the cloud 

To apply for this enterprise infrastructure architecture job, you will need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and at least ten years of experience in infrastructure architecture with a focus on strategy development and planning. You will also require the following: 

• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for infrastructure architecture and strategy development 
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking and virtualisation 
• Excellent sys-admin skills, including VM and container management and deployment in Linux and Windows environments, with experience in emerging technologies, the AWS, Google Cloud and Azure solutions 
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex solutions and managing services from top cloud providers
