As a talented Economy Designer, you will explore new challenges as the company builds their platform, looking to balance progression, player engagement, and a healthy economy to promote a positive, sharing-focused social space. You will also help take early concepts in this area and turn them into a firm framework, guiding the design, collaborating with all parts of the team, and helping make the vision concrete. This might involve prototyping, collaborative development, presentations, modelling, and analysis.
In your first few weeks in this Economy Designer role, you can expect to:
- Explore and define the foundations and framework of the economic design
- Provide insight, design, methodology, knowledge and ideas to create player-friendly monetisation, retention mechanics, systems and experiences
- Create user stories and prototypes to make engagement ideas concrete
- Explore other relevant products and distil learnings and ideas for the company to consider
To apply for this economy design job, you will need a creative and explorative mindset where you have worked on early-stage concepts or experiments. You will also require the following:
- A proven track record of working with a community-guided game economy
- Experience in F2P and, ideally, UGC projects
- Proficiency with maths, statistics, Excel and spreadsheets

- Background in a quick scaling, cross-functional product culture
