Director of eSports

Are you a seasoned esports professional with a passion for leading top-tier gaming experiences? We are seeking a Director of Esports to oversee the operations and growth of one of the most popular mobile esports leagues globally. This role involves managing the competitive scene for a game with over 100 million monthly active users and spearheading the strategy that drives viewership and engagement in the local market.

Your Role:

As the Director of Esports, you will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of esports initiatives in the region. You’ll lead a multinational team, manage league operations, and drive revenue generation through innovative monetization strategies. Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and media partners, will be crucial to promoting the esports league.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve esports viewership goals.
• Oversee the operations of a professional esports league, including scheduling, tournament formats, and community engagement.
• Lead brand and market strategy, collaborate with partners for marketing activities, and explore commercial opportunities.
• Drive revenue through sponsorships, media rights, merchandise, and in-game activations.
• Build and manage a multinational team, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with local esports industry stakeholders.

Your Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years in the gaming or esports industry, with experience in managing large-scale esports events.
• Deep understanding of the esports landscape and various game genres.
• 3+ years of team management experience, ideally with multinational and multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with game development, operations, and publishing.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Filipino or Mandarin is a plus.
