Digital Workplace Solution Architect in Winchester 

We’re looking for someone with technical expertise and a track record of Office 365 implementations to take on this contract role... If this sounds like you, keep reading for details! 

As a Digital Workplace Solution Architect at this organisation based in Winchester, you will be working on a long-term contract with an ASAP start, taking on a key project and using your technical experience to deliver innovative solutions and business support. It is important to note that this role will be remote initially, with the view to move to working onsite in Winchester once it is safe to do so. 

Digital Workplace Solution Architect key responsibilities: 

  • Take on a key technical position between the company and their technology partners 
  • Resolve solution design issues 
  • Manage technical decisions and business decisions 
  • Define business rules, configurations, etc. 
  • Work on change management and impact analysis 

Essential requirements for this role in Winchester: 

  • Strong track record of Office 365 solution implementations 
  • Experience in delivering Identity and Access Management solutions 
  • Understanding of the underlying principles and best practices of the above 
  • Extensive experience with practical IT architecture 
  • Strong senior stakeholder management skills 
  • Experience of leading cross-functional design authorities

A little bit about the city: Winchester 

Topping the list of the best places to live in the UK in 2016, Winchester is a small city with an incredible cathedral and much more. As the former capital of England, this city is brimming with history and culture and is a great place to live and work in. Despite being a busy little city with heaps of character, Winchester is right on the edge of the South Downs, meaning that rural life is only minutes away if you fancy escaping the city life for a moment of countryside peace. 

Winchester Cathedral is certainly what the city is famous for, it is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe and as a Grade I listed building, is home to many historical and treasured artefacts. The stunning building hosts a variety of events throughout the year from concerts, theatre and an amazing market and ice rink at Christmas time. Winchester is a short 45-minute train journey away from London and is very close to the major cities of Portsmouth and Southampton. As for getting around the city itself, the most efficient way is on foot as the compact city centre is very pedestrian friendly, however Winchester also offers a widespread bus service (also extending to surrounding towns) and an excellent bicycle subscription scheme making borrowing a bike in the city extremely easy and cost effective.
