Data Scientist

Our client is looking for a Data Scientist to join a growing team on a full-time basis. This Data Scientist remote role comes with a generous salary, and many excellent benefits as we develop our next first-person shooter in partnership with a major publisher. 

As a Data Scientist, you will be in charge of our data collection and analysis strategy, determining the data that needs to be collected from players and analysing the results to inform our development efforts. As part of a thriving independent development studio, you will have a significant impact, and contribute on multiple levels to the games they make. 

In your first few weeks in this Data Scientist role, you can expect to: 

• Analyse player behaviour data to gain insights into player preferences and engagement patterns 
• Research and develop metrics and performance indicators 
• Extract, analyse and communicate insights from gameplay data 
• Apply machine learning models to better understand players 
• Collaborate and work closely with the design team and our publishing partners 

To apply, you will need proven experience as a Data Scientist in the games industry, ideally working directly on game production. You will also require: 

• Familiarity with game development concepts, game analytics, and game-specific metrics 
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques 
• Understanding of database systems 
• Experience working with large datasets
