Do you have core engine programming experience, and are you seeking a new remote job? If so, we want to hear from you! We are helping a collaborative company recruit a dedicated and talented Core Engine Programmer to join their inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time core engine role is remote within Europe and comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.  

As a Core Engine Programmer, you will be working on research and development as well as defining, extending and maintaining processes for the company's in-house, next-generation engine with a focus on GPGPU, data-oriented design and machine learning. 

To give you an idea of how this core engine programming role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do: 

  • Collaborate with peers to design software, identify problems and determine the best solutions by evaluating existing ones or implementing custom solutions 
  • Adopt a breadth-first development approach by designing for scalability without refactoring and implementing iterative development for flexible, straightforward design 
  • Develop with data-driven design as opposed to object-oriented 
  • Design software for scalability and produce platform-independent code 

To apply for this Core Engine Programmer role, you will need extensive professional programming experience and advanced proficiency in C/C++. You will also require an understanding of software design and architecture skills (DOD, ECS). In addition, you should have the following skills and expertise: 

  • Highly motivated to work with new and emerging technologies 
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a solid understanding of mathematics 
  • Experience integrating and adapting 3rd party technologies 
  • Expertise in developing for multiple platforms 
  • Experience with GPGPU

VR and AR Consultant Ryan Templeman

Ryan looks after programmers particularly focusing on the VR/AR space. We think he’s working here mostly get his hands on new Lord of the Rings VR experiences as soon as they come out although, with his level of knowledge, maybe he should be helping make them instead!    He is one of the few people on the team that is a born and bred Brightonian. In fact he has never moved far - to the point where last time he moved, it was only 2 doors down from his old place!
