The Design Team is a multi-disciplinary group focused on the delivery of compelling player experiences through ideation, iteration, and implementation. The team is passionate about finding creative solutions to design challenges and responsible for filtering the game vision into individual features, levels, combat, quests and encounters.
In your first few weeks in this combat designer role, you can expect to:
- Work with the Senior Combat Designer to support the vision and goals for combat
- Work with Unreal Engine to tune the combat experience for our game
- Evangelise the quality targets for combat to the wider team
- Conduct research across all streams of media to better deliver against the goals and vision of the fight experience
To apply for this combat designer role, you will need to be an experienced combat designer who has shipped at least one title in a combat design role. You will also require the following:
- A passionate gamer with a love for combat-focused games
- Excellent rapid prototyping skills
- Experience delivering features that rely on timing and feel
- Understanding combat systems in games across the industry
