CA Gen Developer

Are you an experienced CA Gen Developer looking for your next contract opportunity? We are seeking a skilled professional with hands-on coding experience in CA Gen, COBOL, and Mainframe systems to join a project based onsite in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Contract Details:

Duration: 1st April 2025 – 31st March 2026
Location: Onsite in Copenhagen, Denmark

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using CA Gen (formerly IEF and COOL:Gen).
• Work with Mainframe systems and COBOL to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support and optimise existing applications.

Essential Skills & Experience:

CA Gen Expertise:

• Strong understanding of CA Gen Model concepts.
• Proficiency with:
  • 3270 CA Gen screens
  • Windows-based CA Gen clients
  • Com-proxies and Java-proxies
  • CA Gen Batch applications

COBOL Knowledge:

• Hands-on COBOL programming experience to support CA Gen programs with external functionality (External Action Blocks – EABs).

Mainframe Experience:

• Strong understanding of Mainframe MVS environments, including:
  • DB2 database management
  • SDSF (System Display and Search Facility)
  • CICS (Customer Information Control System)
  • JCL (Job Control Language)
  • MQ Series
