As a Backend Engineer at this London-based studio, you will be working in a small cross-functional team working on designing features and solving technical problems in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Backend Engineer key responsibilities:
- Look after server development within an agile team of engineers, artist, designers, QA and more
- Work with Java/Scala, opensource frameworks and AWS ecosystem to develop game features and tools
- Work within the sprint life cycle from design through to implementation and support
- Create robust and reusable code
- Express technical ideas clearly
Essential requirements for this role in London:
- Experience with Java/Scala programming
- Experience working in a team and building a product with a large user base
- Impressive server engineering skills
- Experience of working in a client-server environment
- Have worked on NoSQL systems
- Passionate about functional programming
