Remote Audio Engineer 

Are you a Game Engineer with a focus on audio work? Do you like the sound of working on an innovative sci-fi VR game? If so, keep reading to find out more! 

As an Audio Engineer at this this thriving studio you will be working on a fully remote basis as you take on a high responsibility role in working on software development, working on cross-platform scaling, troubleshooting and more. 

This studio develops unique solutions for VR and AR games, partnering with IP holders and large publishers to deliver immersive game experiences on a range of platforms using cutting-edge technology. As a part of the team, you will benefit from health and wellness schemes, flexible working options, onsite gym, work on high-profile IP, help pave the way for the future of VR/AR gaming! 

Audio Engineer key responsibilities: 

  • Work on custom Wwise/Fmod software development 
  • Create audio content conventions and pipelines 
  • Work to integrate audio pipelines into project build systems 
  • Cross-platform asset scaling 
  • Design and implement listener models and occlusion/obstruction models 
  • Support audio tech development 
  • Specify requirements for audio and audio-related tools 
  • Troubleshoot audio-related issues 

Essential requirements for this remote role: 

  • Working knowledge of audio engineering 
  • Experience with 3D audio principles 
  • Strong understanding of game design 
  • Understand how 3D geometry and art assets on audio 
  • Experience with Wwise workflows 
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 
  • Extensive experience with C++ 
  • Experience with performance measurement tools and complex system design
