Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for someone with games production experience seeking a new job in Guildford. We are helping a gaming studio find and hire an Assistant Producer, this is an opportunity to play a crucial role in an expanding team as a contract position for maternity cover. 

Reporting to the Senior Producer, you’ll help take responsibility for resources, scheduling and completion of deliverables. You'll be involved at an early stage of production on the road to completion and release.  

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: 

  • Jump enthusiastically into understanding the ambition of the game, define the scope and break it down into a manageable schedule 
  • Work alongside the rest of the production team and the wider team and start getting a feel for what resources and assistance is required and when 
  • Be deeply involved with the day-to-day project, including status tracking, flagging risks, and resolving problems 
  • Provide insights of the process used on the project and make recommendations on how to improve efficiency. 

To apply for this Assistant Producer role, you will need excellent knowledge of Jira and other task-tracking tools. You will also require experience managing a project across multiple platforms and managing projects on teams of 20+ people. In addition, you should be a great communicator and people person with experience on a ‘live’ service and be shipped at least one project.
