Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Art Director to join an Amsterdam-based gaming company's welcoming and inclusive team. This full-time Art Director remote role offers a salary of up to £110k and an excellent benefits package.
As an Art Director, you will work with the Game Director and Exec Producer to establish the art strategy and roadmaps for a new project. You will be responsible for the overall art direction of the project, ensuring the project stays true to its original artistic vision.
In your first few weeks in this Art Director role, you can expect to:
- Develop and oversee a clear, consistent art style that enables the game's storylines and concepts
- Ensure timely internal reviews on colour schemes, lighting, mood, etc., of game assets in the production
- Provide creative support to brand marketing team to align marketing, maintaining brand consistency and creating brand campaigns and live shops for products and brand universes
- Be responsible for the relationships and output of external agencies and parties.
To apply, you will need to be an accomplished art director with experience working on at least one AAA title. You will also require:
- A deep understanding of game development and working with creative talent
- Excellent digital illustration and conceptualisation skills
- The ability to adapt to established styles as well as create new and diverse ones.
