Our client is looking for an experienced and collaborative Art Director to join a talented team. This full-time role is remote and offers a favourable salary and benefits.
As Art Director, your prime responsibility will be to establish and guard throughout production the visual style and quality of AAA games.
In your first few weeks in this Art Director role, you can expect to:
- Direct, mentor and train the Art Team Leads and Artists
- Manage the art team's personal growth and goals
- Guide the implementation of the Art Style through toolchains and workflow
- Oversee and advise on art workflow and toolchain setup and maintenance
- Act as liaise between art and code
To apply for this role, you will need 5+ years of experience in the game industry and at least one year as an Art Director or an Art Lead. You will also require the following:
- Shipped multiple games on more than one platform (one of them being a console)
- Experience with multiple game engines (and their limitations), 2D art tools, 3D software
- Familiarity with bug-tracking software and version management systems
- Critical thinking, time management, and organisational capabilities
