Art Director in Budapest

As an Art Director at this studio in Budapest, you will be on a mission to define the game’s art style working on social/casual game projects for mobile and portable platforms. You will play a key role in the team, taking charge of the concept and overseeing them through to project completion, whilst looking after and mentoring a talented art team. 

This genre-defining studio are passionate about using cutting edge technology as they combine passion and dedication to create exciting top-level games. Art Director responsibilities: 

• Create proof of concepts for games 
• Establish the style and vision of the game including environment, character, title screen and UI look and feel 
• Ensure quality follow-up in production process 
• Manage the art development process 
• Manage an art team of 10 or more 

Key requirements for this role in Budapest: 

• Significant prior experience in art directing and managing art teams 
• Have worked on one or more shipped game in an Art Director role 
• Extensive experience in the video game industry or similar environment 
• University degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Media Arts, Fine Arts or similar 
• Storytelling and concept art skills as well as a foundation in traditional arts 
• Knowledge and skills in graphic design principles, fonts, layout design, UI function and design 
• Able to adapt to a range of styles both stylised and realistic 
• Passionate about video games
