Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Animator to join our passionate team of animators in helping shape new or existing IPs. This full-time Mid-Senior-level Animator role is based in Oxford and offers a favourable salary and benefits.
The title you will be working on is an unannounced, post-apocalyptic survival action game. As an Animator, you will have the chance to work on a range of gameplay animations from keyframe to mocap that will help bring our characters to life.
In your first few weeks in this Animator role, you can expect to:
- Create high-quality keyframe or mocap in-game animations that meet the standard and style of the desired project
- Work in a timely manner and complete work in the desired time frame
- Put your work into a game engine to ensure it works and or make changes where needed
- Work with and communicate with your fellow animators/peers
To apply for this role, you will need a good understanding of the principles of animation that you can apply to either keyframe or mocap animation work. You will also require the following:
- Ability to animate human/creature motions so they look natural
- Knowledge of Maya and or Motion Builder
- Basic understanding of how animations are implemented into game engines
