Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Animator - Unannounced Game to join our client's inclusive team. As a talented Animator, you will be responsible for delivering animations that support gameplay mechanics and narrative sequences in a game. You will breathe life into characters and creatures, covering all the actions and behaviours the game requires. In addition, you will be a problem solver and creative thinker who iterates rapidly, exploring ideas and approaches whilst always understanding that animation services gameplay.
In your first few weeks in this Animator role, you can expect to:
- Bring characters and creatures to life, using motion capture data or creating hand-key animation
- Deliver animation assets that consistently hit style and quality benchmarks
- Adopt flexible workflows/techniques that ensure animations are being created/delivered in the most efficient manner
- Work closely with the team to ensure animation is implemented optimally in the game engine
- Work with technical animators to troubleshoot and improve existing workflows
To apply for this animation role, you will need a passion for animation in games and player/product focussed animation thinking. You will also require an excellent understanding of animation principles and fundamentals and a technical understanding of current/future animation trends. In addition, you should have at least one shipped title in a similar role. The ability to pitch ideas and give feedback to other members of the team is also essential
