Do you have AI experience, and are you seeking a new remote role? Skillsearch is assisting a games company in hiring an AI Programmer, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.  

As an AI Programmer, you will direct and create AI systems and features that enable the wider team to deliver a truly immersive gameplay experience. 

As an AI Programmer, you will have several responsibilities, including: 

  • Helping develop AI features and direction, both at a high and low level, communicating to technical and non-technical team members 
  • Communicating with the design team, animators, and the rest of the tech team to brainstorm ideas 
  • Creating bespoke AI debugging tools to assist QA efforts 
  • Designing and implementing AI features iteratively, breaking down features into measurable and achievable tasks. 

To apply for this AI role, you will need 3+ years of Unreal Engine experience and proficiency in both C++ and Blueprints. You will also require the following: 

  • Experience in object-oriented programming 
  • Understanding of Replication with the engine 
  • The ability to extract requirements from a design spec 
  • Experience in using source control tools (GIT, SVN, Perforce, Plastic).
