AI Programmer

Join an independent development studio dedicated to creating cutting-edge multiplayer PC and console games. As an AI Programmer, you will develop exciting character behaviours in Unreal Engine, having a substantial impact on the games we produce.

Responsibilities:

• Develop AI behaviours and controllers for various characters within a real-time game environment using Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate with the animation team to align AI movements and actions with character animations.
• Work with development team members to ensure AI functionality fits both game design requirements and technical constraints.
• Plan and estimate schedules for AI feature implementation, ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in the games industry.
• Proficiency in C++ within the Unreal environment.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing real-time AI behaviours using Unreal Engine.
• In-depth knowledge of behaviour trees, AI senses, planning, reactions, and navmeshes within Unreal.
• Experience linking AI behaviours to character animations and physics.
• Skills in profiling and optimizing code for both memory and performance.

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating external AI middleware with Unreal.
• Having shipped at least one title on PC or console.
• Console development experience.
