Are you an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in Speech Technology and AI/ML services, looking to lead strategic partnerships in the UK?

We are hiring an Account Manager – Speech & AI Technologies to manage and grow a high-profile partnership within the speech and artificial intelligence ecosystem. This is a relationship-led role that combines technical fluency, commercial awareness, and cross-functional coordination. It is not a pure sales position, but requires credibility with engineering and product stakeholders.

About the role...

As Account Manager – Speech & AI Technologies, you will act as the primary interface between a major AI platform partner and internal delivery teams. You will translate technical requirements into executable plans, ensure operational alignment, and protect long-term partnership stability.

This role requires deep understanding of speech recognition, AI workflows, and enterprise client environments, alongside strong stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities:

Technical partnership leadership

  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for a major speech/AI platform partner
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, and Speech teams
  • Translate technical requirements into clear internal delivery roadmaps
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and operational capabilities
  • Maintain structured communication across technical and commercial stakeholders

Speech and AI domain expertise

  • Demonstrate understanding of automatic speech recognition (ASR) pipelines and transcription workflows
  • Provide insight into data annotation processes and model training support
  • Contribute to solution design discussions with technical credibility
  • Engage in conversations around model accuracy, latency, performance optimisation, and scalability
  • Advise internal teams on emerging trends in speech technology and AI

Revenue stewardship and commercial awareness

  • Protect and stabilise existing revenue streams
  • Identify expansion opportunities aligned with the client roadmap
  • Support RFP and RFI responses where required
  • Maintain visibility on scope, margin, and delivery considerations
  • Drive partnership-led growth through strategic collaboration rather than aggressive selling

Cross-functional coordination

  • Collaborate closely with delivery, data operations, engineering, and product teams
  • Ensure smooth transition from scoping to execution
  • Identify risks early and escalate appropriately
  • Maintain clarity across timelines, scope, and technical feasibility

Client experience and trust building

  • Maintain high responsiveness and communication standards
  • Act as a trusted advisor within complex enterprise environments
  • Build multi-threaded relationships across technical and operational stakeholders
  • Ensure long-term partnership stability and client satisfaction

What we’re looking for:

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in speech technology, AI/ML services, language technologies, or data annotation environments
  • Experience working with large technology platforms or enterprise AI customers
  • Proven background managing strategic client relationships in technical domains

Technical knowledge

  • Strong understanding of automatic speech recognition (ASR)
  • Familiarity with NLP fundamentals
  • Experience with data training pipelines and annotation workflows
  • Knowledge of model evaluation concepts and performance metrics
  • Comfortable engaging directly with engineering and product stakeholders

Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into operational plans
  • Commercial awareness without a transactional sales approach
  • Professional presence within enterprise environments
