3D Environment Artist – 12988

Are you an environment artist wanting to use and grow your 3D modelling skills? Do you want to collaborate with an international team who are enthusiastic about what they do? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As a 3D Environment Artist in Hamburg, you will be joining an in-house art team who are working on new mobile games. You will be using your 3D modelling skills to create game-ready assets and keep up a consistent and high-quality art style in a brand-new mobile game!

Requirements

  • Professional experience in the games industry with an impressive portfolio of work which demonstrates an expertise in the creation of 3D assets for environments and architectures
  • 3D modelling skills and a basic knowledge of optimization, asset debugging, Vertex Color, UV unwrap, Tile Map and modular systems
  • A trained eye for detail, shapes, proportions, composition, colours, and lighting and skilled in using 3ds Max, Photoshop, Substance Suite, and other textural packages in a 3D setting
  • Proficient in using Unity3D or scripting in Python so that you can understand/integrate technical constraints when modelling
  • A degree in a relevant subject of comparable training in the field of graphics

Responsibilities

  • Converting and interpreting 2D concepts into textured real-time 3D models such as buildings, vegetation, and props
  • Creating game-ready assets, and applying the art style of the new mobile game
  • Working cooperatively within an agile and multi-disciplinary team environment whilst reporting to the Team Lead Art
  • Planning and estimating times for your own tasks and delivering your results with respect to the production pipeline, art direction and team-internal deadlines
