3D Character Artist in Brighton 

We’re looking for a talented 3D Character Artist to join a thriving studio working on cutting-edge games! Sound interesting? Read on to find out more... 

As a 3D Character Artist at Playmint, you will play a key role in the creation of game-ready assets including character models, costume, armour and weaponry for main characters of the title. If you have experience working on high and low poly high-end assets and you are self-motivated, you could be a great fit for this position. 

This expert team is on a mission to bring ground-breaking blockchain games to market using technical solutions and gameplay mechanics never seen before. As a part of the team, you will get to enjoy hybrid working opportunities, flexible working, shares options and plenty more! 

3D Character Artist responsibilities: 

  • Look after the full pipeline of modelling, mapping and texturing of assets 
  • Work on high > low poly modelling 
  • Work to budgets and ensure assets are of high quality 
  • Help to build out the game world for the project you’re working on 

Key requirements for this role in Brighton: 

  • Able to work from a concept to create game ready assets 
  • Understanding of topology and animation ready assets 
  • Skills in software packages such as Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in colour, composition, form and shape 
  • Experience shipping mobile and console games 


  • Playmint work in the office together on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing the opportunity to work remotely or in office on the other days 
  • Flexibility on working patterns – sometimes people have commitments that make it difficult to do ‘standard’ hours 
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus 3 days studio closure over Christmas and 8 bank holidays 
  • Pension contributions at 5% instead of the standard 3
