2D Games Artist in London

As a 2D Games Artist at this studio in London, you will be taking on full creative ownership over upcoming projects for both new features as well as new games. This will include creating UX flows, creating UI and implementing designs into the engine, just to name a few. 

This fast-growing studio home to a bunch of industry veterans is on a mission to create the best mobile games around through their tight-knit, collaborative environment. If you love all things games, you’ll be a great fit here. 2D Games Artist key responsibilities: 

  • Create UX flow diagrams 
  • Design and develop visual style for the project 
  • Create the UI with best practices in mind 
  • Create art and illustrations for the project 
  • Lead discussions of design during development to align to product vision 
  • Prepare briefs 
  • Implement designs into Unity engine alongside the technical art team 
  • Champion art and design within teams and projects 

Essential requirements for this role in London: 

  • Strong portfolio of previous mobile game experience with industry-leading artwork 
  • Experience working on one or more large released mobile game 
  • Understanding of the mobile games market and its design and trends 
  • Able to draw from references inside and outside of the games industry 
  • Eager to learn and get hands-on with the game engine 
  • Able to work in the UK

Fortunately for the many commuters, public transport is one thing the city can be really proud of. London is well-known for its widespread underground system, boasting 11 lines stretching 402km in total. Additionally, the Night Tube, a 24-hour service, is available on Fridays and Saturdays, making getting home after an evening exploring or catching up with friends a breeze. Aside from the Tube, London offers buses, river buses, black cabs, ‘Boris Bikes’ and trams, so getting around the city should never be a problem!
