Best of Brighton, a Brightonians Guide to eating and drinking at Develop.

Develop conference is always a favorite of the teams at Skillsearch and a large reason behind this is that it takes place in the city that we know and love.

As our offices are based in the heart of the Lanes, I thought it would be nice to pass on some of our local knowledge eateries and watering holes. Please note these recommendations are all based on my personal opinion….

Best Coffee – Café Coho or Small Batch

Café Coho is an award winning espresso bar and one of the first shops on the left as you come down Queens round from the station to the seafront.

Small Batch is one of Brighton’s most successful home grown business with multiple establishments across the city.

Best Breakfast – The Breakfast Club

It may not be exclusive to Brighton, but for the best variety ranging from porridge, to pancakes and every kind of cooked breakfast you can imagine there is something for everyone.

Best Sandwich – Bagelman

Brightonians often forget that this is not a larger chain because everyone knows Bagelman. With 3 shops across the city, the closest to the venue is on Duke Street.

Best Fish Restaurant – Riddle & Finns

Zith two restaurants, one on the seafront and one in the lanes, Riddle & Finns servers the best locally sourced seafood with daily specialist. Very popular and it’s not possible to reserve a table. Another option and local secret is Regency Fish Restaurant on the seafront. Well known locally for its relaxed dining environment and a wide range of seafood dishes.

Best Veggie Restaurant – Food with Friends

An award winning vegetarian restaurant, that even the biggest carnivores will love.

Best Ice Cream – Boho Gelato

They have a couple of stores in the city offering amazing ice cream. My personal favorite is the sour cherry.

Best Party – Play@Develop

Play@Develop is back again this year the charity fundraiser for Special Effect. This year’s games are the awesome Gang Beasts and Blockships and our sponsors Unity are providing the most amazing raffle prize. Please come down to Shoosh and join us for a beer in the sun.
