Stuart Gillespie started Skillsearch way back in 1990 and we’ve been headed up by CEO Richard Fisher for the past 14 years.

The Green Objective

The planet is important to us and we have a responsibility to look after the environment! We are proud supporters of Ecologi and are committed to ensure our business is a climate positive workforce. In the office we also recycle and have a bike store to encourage employees to cycle to work.

Fundraising and charity support

Throughout the year we raise funds through a variety of activities and events for Special Effect, The Clock Tower Sanctuary, and Safe In Our World. Follow us on X or LinkedIn to find out what we are up to and how you can get involved.

Special Effect put fun and inclusion back into the lives of physically disabled people by helping them to play video games. But we’re not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, we’re bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on quality of life, confidence and rehabilitation.

The Clock Tower Sanctuary is the only drop-in day centre in Brighton & Hove for young people aged 16-25 experiencing homelessness. Based in central Brighton, it's a place where young people who have nowhere to call home can feel safe and 'just be'. We listen and respond to what they need and treat everyone as an individual. We know that no young person chooses to be homeless.

The main goal of Safe In Our World is to create and foster worldwide mental health awareness within the video game industry; to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, to make it a natural topic of discussion, and to promote the dialogue surrounding mental health so people are not afraid to reach out for help if they need it.

Kelly Haigh

People Operations Manager

Our People Operations Manager, Kelly, is in charge of looking after our wonderful team. Kelly works her socks off to make us as happy as can be and ensure Skillsearch is the best place in town to work! In her time off you can find Kelly snowboarding or enjoying the countryside in the New Forest – unfortunately not at the same time – spending time with her lovely family and pets, playing netball, pilot gig rowing, running, making homemade pizza... The list goes on. What a talented People Operations Manager we have!

Ryan Templeman

Game Development Team Lead & North America Team Lead

Ryan leads our dev team, focusing on scouting out the best programmers in the industry! We think he’s working here mostly to get his hands on new Lord of the Rings VR experiences as soon as they come out although, with his level of knowledge, maybe he should be helping make them instead! He is one of the few people on the team that is a born and bred Brightonian. In fact, he has never moved far - to the point where the last time he moved, it was only 2 doors down from his old place!

Andy Demetriou

Principal Game Design & Production Consultant

Andy leads our Game Design and Production division on our games team and his favourite games are narrative-based, survivor horror and strategy so Andy is a great person to have on your side during a zombie apocalypse! Aside from gaming, his spare time is dedicated to trying lasagne from as many different Italian restaurants as humanly possible. Head of Client Success

Emily is our Head of Client Success and a key member of the Skillsearch games team. With a background in HR wizardry and people charm, she's not just a pro at ensuring client happiness – she's also a founding member of the Skillsearch Dungeons and Dragons society and, more recently, a brainiac on our Skillsearch quiz team. Giles Fenwick

Director of Games and Interactive

Giles runs our Gaming & Interactive division and specialises in forming tight knit teams, whether that’s for a studio or in our office. He represented his county at rugby for every age group from 12 onwards which no doubt helped him to cultivate his excellent understanding of team dynamics. Giles is known for his warmth and willingness to take time to work through any issues that may arise, although make sure you don’t try and share his food as then you won’t be getting a warm welcome – Giles doesn’t share food!

Richard Fisher

CEO

Our CEO fitness fanatic and father of 3 Richard will be found running or in the gym every lunch as he says that’s the only place he ever gets any peace and quiet. Voted 9 out of 10 as a geek by the team Richards top 3 loves are Star Wars, Tottenham Hotspur and his family – although we aren’t sure in which order. Richard is the office oracle and says what he doesn’t know about recruitment isn’t worth knowing – we haven’t managed to prove him wrong yet!
