Stuart Gillespie started Skillsearch way back in 1990 and we’ve been headed up by CEO Richard Fisher for the past 15 years.

Special Effect put fun and inclusion back into the lives of physically disabled people by helping them to play video games. But we’re not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, we’re bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on quality of life, confidence and rehabilitation.

The Clock Tower Sanctuary is the only drop-in day centre in Brighton & Hove for young people aged 16-25 experiencing homelessness. Based in central Brighton, it's a place where young people who have nowhere to call home can feel safe and 'just be'. We listen and respond to what they need and treat everyone as an individual. We know that no young person chooses to be homeless.

The main goal of Safe In Our World is to create and foster worldwide mental health awareness within the video game industry; to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, to make it a natural topic of discussion, and to promote the dialogue surrounding mental health so people are not afraid to reach out for help if they need it.

Jack Baxter

Emerging Tech Team Lead

Jack heads up our Emerging Technology division. He's spent years deep in the world of XR, robotics, AI, and defence-tech, working with the companies building the tools that will shape how we live, work and create over the next decade. What drives him is genuine curiosity. He's fascinated by how emerging technology can expand what people are capable of, not replace them. The best applications he sees aren't the ones that automate humans out of the picture, they're the ones that give people more room to create, explore and solve problems that were previously out of reach.

Richard Fisher

CEO

Our CEO fitness fanatic and father of 3 Richard will be found running or in the gym every lunch as he says that’s the only place he ever gets any peace and quiet. Voted 9 out of 10 as a geek by the team Richards top 3 loves are Star Wars, Tottenham Hotspur and his family – although we aren’t sure in which order. Richard is the office oracle and says what he doesn’t know about recruitment isn’t worth knowing – we haven’t managed to prove him wrong yet!

Giles Fenwick

Director

Giles runs our Gaming & Emerging Tech division and specialises in forming tight knit teams, whether that’s for a studio or in our office. He represented his county at rugby for every age group from 12 onwards which no doubt helped him to cultivate his excellent understanding of team dynamics. Giles is known for his warmth and willingness to take time to work through any issues that may arise, although make sure you don’t try and share his food as then you won’t be getting a warm welcome – Giles doesn’t share food!

Ryan Templeman

Game Development Team Lead & North America Team Lead

Ryan leads our dev team, focusing on scouting out the best programmers in the industry! We think he’s working here mostly to get his hands on new Lord of the Rings VR experiences as soon as they come out although, with his level of knowledge, maybe he should be helping make them instead! He is one of the few people on the team that is a born and bred Brightonian. In fact, he has never moved far - to the point where the last time he moved, it was only 2 doors down from his old place!

Joe McKernan

Associate Director

Our Associate Director, Joe, joins Giles in heading up our Games and Interactive division, his passion springing from being blown away by the effects in Star Wars at a young age. His love hasn’t wavered and Joe always seems to bring out a new Star Wars t shirt every dress down we have! We are lucky to have him considering that he once got stuck half way up a mountain in Borneo so now he goes for flatter holidays – most recently driving across America in a Mustang.

Andy Demetriou

Principal Game Design & Production Consultant

Andy leads our Game Design and Production division on our games team and his favourite games are narrative-based, survivor horror and strategy so Andy is a great person to have on your side during a zombie apocalypse! Aside from gaming, his spare time is dedicated to trying lasagne from as many different Italian restaurants as humanly possible.
