For the past 30 years we’ve been busy helping people (like you) with sought after skills find jobs in the Games, Interactive and Enterprise Systems industries, all around the globe.
When you start working with us you'll be introduced to a dedicated member of the team who will then be by your side throughout the whole recruitment process.
Stuart Gillespie started Skillsearch way back in 1990 and we’ve been headed up by CEO Richard Fisher for the past 14 years.
We host annual fundraising events Play @ Develop and the Games Brains of Brighton Christmas Quiz to support our favourite charity Special Effect!
That’s a lot of happy people in the Skillsearch history books. Many of whom come back to us to recruit for their company!
It’s our mission to end every recruitment experience with exceptionally happy people! We aim to form long-lasting recruitment partnerships by keeping your best interests at heart so you’ll keep coming back.
In an industry like recruitment we feel it’s important to have solid values unpinning everything that we do. Honesty, integrity, and trust above anything else. We set ourselves exceptionally high standards to make sure that we are exceeding what you’d expect of us throughout the recruitment process.
The planet is important to us and we have a responsibility to look after the environment! We are proud supporters of Ecologi and are committed to ensure our business is a climate positive workforce. In the office we also recycle and have a bike store to encourage employees to cycle to work.
Throughout the year we raise funds through a variety of activities and events for Special Effect, The Clock Tower Sanctuary, and Safe In Our World. Follow us on X or LinkedIn to find out what we are up to and how you can get involved.
Special Effect put fun and inclusion back into the lives of physically disabled people by helping them to play video games. But we’re not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, we’re bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on quality of life, confidence and rehabilitation.
The Clock Tower Sanctuary is the only drop-in day centre in Brighton & Hove for young people aged 16-25 experiencing homelessness. Based in central Brighton, it's a place where young people who have nowhere to call home can feel safe and 'just be'. We listen and respond to what they need and treat everyone as an individual. We know that no young person chooses to be homeless.
The main goal of Safe In Our World is to create and foster worldwide mental health awareness within the video game industry; to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, to make it a natural topic of discussion, and to promote the dialogue surrounding mental health so people are not afraid to reach out for help if they need it.
