For those of you who aren’t already aware, Play@Develop is the charity event we hold every year alongside Develop Conference, an expo and awards ceremony dedicated to showcasing and awarding games companies on their year’s projects and successes.
The event is organised by our very own Games team to raise money for Special Effect, an amazing charity that uses technology to enhance the quality of life of people with physical disabilities. Why not take a look at some of their most recent projects, including a modded controller for a man with neuropathy, and the fundraiser “No Sleeple for Meeple” where games developers will be playing board games non-stop for 24 hours!
This year we were lucky enough to have Creative Assembly volunteer to co sponsor the event and they not only provided some very generous prizes for the raffle but managed to get hold of Showdown arcade machines that allowed us to run a tournament that for many seemed to be the highlight of the day.
Our games team worked hard to put together a brilliant afternoon for the 300+ people that attended proving that the event was once again a huge success.
